The book will have a six-page photo insert. I didn't think to seek out a photo of the iPhone madness, though I do have lengthy description of the scene at the NYC So-Ho store at the time of the first iPhone launch. The photos include Alan Kay's original illustration of what a portable computer might look like, the Doonesbury cartoon mocking Apple Newton, a two-age spread of ThinkPad X300's parts, Sapper, etc. Do you find this valuable? |

Not in the print book. However, I'm in the process of setting up a community on Ning where people will be encouraged to submit design concepts for their dream portables of today and the future. I hope to create a contest with the participants divided into three segments--K-12, college, and adult. You could enter.Do you find this valuable? |

The ultimate tiny computer is my dream. I've been holding out and not getting sucked into the iphone revolution. Instead, I'm waiting until the little pocket pc of my dreams is born. Maybe your research will create the spark needed for future discoveries and creations. Great site & book!
